American-born pianist Claudia Cashin-Mack is deeply-rooted in the musical life of Ottawa, as a respected teacher since 1978, and as a performing artist at a wide variety of festivals and concert series, including: Music and Beyond Festival 2011 with soprano Donna Brown; 2009 CUMS concert of Canadian Music with the Musica Nova Ensemble; the Canadian Arts Festival at the University of Edinboro with mezzo-soprano Sandra Graham; New Music in New Places 2007 and 2008;  Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival Piano Gala in 2006.  In August 2010, Claudia performed the world premiere of Canadian composer Steven Gellman’s “Album for Piano” at Ottawa Chamberfest, and will appear on a recording of his piano works on the Cansona label.

Claudia Cashin-Mack’s affinity with the music of Canadian composer Colin Mack is the product of a personal and artistic collaboration spanning over thirty years. In addition to premiering most of his solo and chamber music for piano, she is featured on his CD “Imprints”. Claudia is a founding member of the Ottawa New Music Creators. Recent projects include a program of works by composers from every province to celebrate her new status as a Canadian citizen.
