Veronika Krausas' 'Sillages,' for Four Basses
Good morning! Today we'd like to share a form submission from a Canadian composer who is now living and teaching in Los Angeles, Veronika Krausas. Her ties to Ottawa are somewhat circuitous, mostly involving a collaboration from Ottawa writer André Alexis going back twenty years. That being said, it is fascinating to see one of various ways Ottawa's arts community extends to the international scene. Here's a new piece of hers for four double basses, written for members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic—Chris Hanulik, David Moore, Oscar Meza and Peter Rofe—for an LA Philharmonic Chamber Music concert this past January.
You can discover more of Krausas' work here.
